Software Quality Assurance Engineer I
We have an immediate opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Boulder Colorado team. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and have the ability to function well in a fast paced, dynamic organization while also exercising excellent customer service skills and technical ability.
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer I is responsible for testing and certifying Connect First’s in-house developed software applications. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of Quality Assurance.
  • Execute and improve test plans.
  • Perform exploratory testing of new and existing features.
  • Work with Customer Support to troubleshoot, recreate, and document issues for Development group.
  • Report issues clearly, following department format specifications.
Knowledge & Skills Needed to Succeed:

  • Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues.
  • Experience with test case execution and documentation.
  • Strong, proven troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple project’s tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional skills or background we would be thrilled if you had any experience with or interest in:

  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and practices.
  • Experience or interest in test automation.
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems.
  • Working knowledge of MySQL.
  • Experience with JIRA or other bug tracking software.
  • Programming knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of call center and telephony software.
Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience testing web-based enterprise applications
Education:
Technical education background.
(OR)
2+ years of experience in a highly technical role.

Software Support Specialist
We have immediate opportunities for Software Support Specialists (Tier 1) to join our Boulder, Colorado team. The successful candidates are professional, highly motivated and have the ability to function well in a fast paced, dynamic organization. The Software Support Specialist will play a vital role in evaluating, troubleshooting and quickly resolving software concerns and questions. Proven experience dealing with customer satisfaction is particularly valuable as it is the central point of contact for all Connect First customers.
Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves software problems with the aim of satisfying the customer’s needs quickly and intelligently.
  • Identifies underlying causes of a problem, classification and escalation where necessary.
  • Diagnoses problems accurately and works to find appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
  • Partner with Customers’ wide array of configurations and environments to optimize the Connect First call center software solution.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships by interacting effectively at all levels of the client organization.
  • Proactively looks to offer prevention solutions to eliminate re-occurrence of problems through trend analysis and problem reviews.
  • Will be cognizant of all known service outages and will maintain awareness of all maintenance / software product changes that will affect customers.
  • Will work cross-functionally in a customer facing capacity.
Software Support Specialist Requirements:

  • Must be a self-starter possessing excellent time management skills and be able to switch between tasks quickly and efficiently.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing software support role.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience.
Additional skills or background we would be thrilled if you had any experience with or interest in:

  • Experience with SaaS model and applications.
  • Call Center industry experience.
  • Telecommunication experience.
  • Solution implementation in the premise-based or the hosted telecommunications software industry.

Java/JavaEE Software Engineer Level I

The successful candidate must be highly motivated to help push our platform and front end APIs forward; and have the ability to function well in a fast paced and dynamic organization. This driven Java Engineer would be responsible for designing, developing and implementing new features, and maintaining existing functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and document new and existing products.
  • Act as a point of escalation for bug fixes and issue resolution.
  • Generate requirements, estimates and plans for projects.
  • Contribute ideas for the improvement of our software.
Java/JavaEE Software Engineer Requirements:

  • Two years development experience on products built with Java and/or Java EE.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university in Computer
  • Science, Information Systems or other related discipline or the equivalent in work
  • experience.
  • Comfortable working as a full stack developer. While this position is focused on the
  • server side of our applications, our developers are often called on to develop for all
  • layers of our application.
  • Must be a self-starter, possess excellent time management skills, and be able manage
  • multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to generate requirements, estimates and plan for projects.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing distributed scalable multithreaded server side applications.
  • Experience writing relational database queries (MySQL preferred).
  • Experience with Hibernate ORM.
  • Working knowledge of the Linux/Unix command line interface.
Additional skills or background we would be thrilled if you had any experience with:

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks: Bootstrap, JQuery, Angular etc.
